Usage areas of void formworks for lightweight fill applications: heights ranging from 5 to 300 cm
Lightweight Fill on Floor
Level variations between different usage areas in a building can be eliminated by using ABS Void Formworks to construct reinforced raised floors. The structure's weight is limited to the concrete in the legs and the topping concrete that covers the void formworks. ABS Void Formwork is the lightest solution that can be applied to any floor in the structure.

Sunken Slab Fills
In commercial buildings in particular, sunken slabs may be required on ground floors or podium areas. By using ABS Void Formworks, these areas can be raised to the height specifications of the architectural plans. Constructing reinforced concrete raised floors by using ABS Void Formworks is one of the lightest and most practical solutions for leveling height differences.

Landscape Fills
ABS Void Formworks are preferred not only because they are the lightest fill application but also because they do not interrupt the drainage slope. This makes them the ideal choice for constructing hardscape surfaces in landscape projects, while completely eliminating the risk of long-term cracks.

Amenity Floor Construction
Smart developers aim to create seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces, with outdoor areas designed for accessibility, visibility, and connectivity. ABS Plus offers the optimal solution for reinforced concrete raised floors in such spaces, providing a lightweight, permanent structure with a 95% hollow design. Made with recycled plastic content, it is both environmentally friendly and the lightest solution. Additionally, the void space beneath the floor allows for the passage of MEP installations, making it ideal for both low and high-rise amenity floors.

Inverted Beam Fills
In some cases, due to technical or architectural reasons, drop beams are not the best choice for ceilings. Instead, beams are placed on the upper slab as 'inverted beams.' To use this type of slab or flooring (as in car parks, for example), it is necessary to lightly fill the space between the beams and cover the area with concrete. ABS Void Formworks provide the lightest fill solution with the highest load-bearing capacity for this application.

Fills Between Foundation Footings
ABS Void Formworks can be used effectively to fill the space between column/wall footings on top of a raft foundation. Since the space is 95% hollow, it can accommodate MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) installation passages. This same void space can also help prevent flooding.

Car Park Ramps
Car park ramps that are constructed using ABS Void Formworks are lighter and more economical than conventional shear wall and beam designs.

Swimming Pool Decks
Constructing a swimming pool on a flat reinforced concrete foundation or floor slab is much easier and more economical than other designs. Once the shear walls of the pool are erected, the pool deck can be constructed using ABS Void Formworks. Since the fill is hollow, it can also accommodate MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) installation passages.

Elevator/Staircase Hallway Fills
In office buildings with modular raised floors, variations in level between elevator/staircase hallways and office spaces are eliminated in the most economical and lightweight way using ABS Void Formworks. Since the fill is hollow, it can also accommodate MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) installation passages.

Crawl Space Construction
ABS Void Formworks can be used to raise the ground floor of a structure above natural ground level, enabling fast and easy construction of a crawl space.

Reinforced Concrete Raised Floor
Reinforced concrete floors constructed using ABS Void Formworks are 95% empty, allowing the void space to be used for passing MEP (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) installations, similar to the way modular raised floors on steel pedestals are used.

Low-voltage Distribution Rooms
Void formworks in low-voltage distribution rooms are primarily used for their lightweight nature and high load-bearing capacity, making them ideal for supporting heavy racks and cabinets. Their hollow design allows for easy construction of raised floors while ensuring structural integrity under significant weight. Additionally, void formworks offer a cost-effective solution and contribute to an efficient use of space in electrical rooms.
